The 2021 earthquake that hit the south of Haiti in August paralyzed completely many activities in these remote areas, especially the transportation, for a long time.

MMJ's Summer Marketing Intern
Julie D’Amanda
Mission Made Jewelry is excited announce that they have a new Summer Marketing Intern for 2022!
Julie is a Senior at UNC Wilmington studying Communication Studies with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in French. She believes in using your God-given skills to glorify the Kingdom and found that God led her to Mission Made Jewelry.
When Julie and Becky met it seemed like a perfect fit for both Julie, Becky, and the organization. Her background in design, copywriting, photography, and customer service has prepared her for this role in helping with MMJ marketing.
Julie is very excited to see what God has in store, and how she can help with MMJ’s mission to empower Haiti!

Propane gas for CERMICOL
We often struggle to explain life in Haiti to our American friends.
How do we explain this first photo - that this is how the CERMICOL prison has been attempting to feed 85 boys day-by-day for the last week? Do you see the wood they chopped from trees in the yard? Do you know why they had to do this? They had no more propane in their tanks.
Today, by God's grace, we were able to provide them with some propane.
This outreach ministry means so much to us, and we're thankful for those of you who support our ability to share Hope with our friends there.
Update from Haiti - May 2, 2022
Lord, to be rooted in place takes commitment to land, to people, to friends and family, to transients in our community, and to the plight of our neighborhoods. Being rooted is no easy task, but you demonstrated such rootedness in your incarnation. Give us courage to take up the hard task of knowing you while standing in place. Amen.

Yo bay kouran = There’s electricity
Because of your faithful generosity toward the ministry of Haiti Awake, after a long time without consistent power at the boys’ prison, after a long time their generator had been broken down, Haiti Awake had sent technicians to fix that big generator to make the life of those boys better. What a joy for everyone there! - Pastor Steeve
Why our Ministry at CERMICOL Matters
The Depth of the Riches
In just 5 short months, Idelmy, Antonide, Cesnel, and Lorvens will transition out of our care and into their next phase of life. We look forward to this day with hopeful anticipation, acknowledging the challenges they will face but fully trusting that God has a perfect plan for each of their lives.
When we first met in July of 2013, we could never have anticipated the journey we would walk together, the way God would orchestrate events.
As we approach June 30, 2022, we ask that you pray very specifically for each of the children. Cesnel has a firm plan in place that includes where he will live and where he will be employed after he leaves. Lorvens, Antonide, and Idelmy are in various stages of making their plans, and by March they understand that they should have their plans in place. If you sponsor one of these children and want to know specifics of where they are in planning, contact our child sponsorship coordinator, Kynda Colson, at sponsorship@haitiawake.org

Flourish - Our Focus for 2022
Flourish
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
planted in the house of the Lord,
they will flourish in the courts of our God.
They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,
proclaiming, “The Lord is upright;
he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.” - Psalm 92:12-15
