Peyi Lòk by Steeve Derard

Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil. Proverbs 4:27

There are times in life when God gives you opportunities that seem small. We have no idea these small things are part of the bigger picture of our lives. But I believe it’s important to remember, that if God asks you to do something, He has a purpose in it.

It has been three successive months since Haiti has known a movement called:" peyi lòk" which means "the country lock down " where most activities have stopped , such as: schools, business, banks, and so on .

Because of that, people are living with fear, stress, and trauma .

Day by day I am asking myself what can I do to help my children better in this situation.

And I felt obligated to start an English class for them . Without hesitating, I started it for my family.

The second week, I saw a few children came to me and asked if they can come and to be a part of the class too,

I said yes.

The third week another group of children come again and ask me if they can come too.

I said yes .

Now I have the opportunity to serve about 20 children in my community every Friday and Saturday by teaching them English and sharing the Gospel with them .

Despite all circumstances , God will always open new opportunities for His glory.

The country is locked down, but God keeps unlocking new doors.
