What a week!

A quick update from Executive Director, Becky Graves

Sunday we were at The Bridge for their For Our World Sunday. We shared about our mission trips and child sponsorship programs.

Monday we were at Life 90.5 to share about our partnership with Mission Made Jewelry and our Christmas for our Community initiative. If you missed that broadcast, you can hear the 3 minute version by clicking on this button:

Wednesday we had a Board Member and Coordinators meeting. I truly do not know what I would do without these amazing seven co-workers. There is a Haitian proverb that says: Men anpil, chay pa lou. (Many hands make light work.) This is so very true at Haiti Awake!

Thursday I was at Wilmington Christian Academy with Kelsey from Mission Made Jewelry as she accepted the check from the winter fundraiser WCA did through MMJ. Our staff and children participated in the production of the ornaments that were sold for the fundraiser, and it was exciting to be there when the total amount raised was announced.

Meanwhile, in Haiti, many exciting things took place this week. But the highlight was Friday when the staff went to the market to buy the goats needed for next week’s Christmas for our Community gathering.

Many exciting things “in the works” at Haiti Awake.

Looking forward to sharing details in the days ahead.
