We’ve shown you a lot of photos like this through the years, the backs of the young men’s heads at CERMICOL. We can’t show you their faces, but we know their faces, we know their names. And it’s been difficult not to be able to share the specifics with you because we know so many of you care.
The four young men in this photo were our first four music students when we launched the music program in the summer of 2023.
We’ve shared a number of photos like this through the years, as we’ve tried to convey to you what God has been doing, what God has allowed us to see with our own eyes. But we could only share so much with you. We could not share names. We could not share faces.
Recently, Pastor Steeve heard from one of the four young men in the first photo. He was elated to share that, after five years of incarceration, he had been set free from CERMICOL. He is now living life as a free man. Pastor Steeve invited him to church.
This morning, a little before 9 am, I got a WhatsApp call. I asked for permission to take this screenshot and share it. Friends, I’d like to introduce you to Julien Pasner. Many of you have been part of his story through your partnership in ministry at CERMICOL for years, and now you can associate a face and a name.
Pasner stood before the church today with Pastor Steeve, and we’re hopeful that he’ll be part of a special church program in just a few weeks. We ask that you pray for him by name in the days ahead. We have so much hope for his future, and we’re looking into ways we can walk alongside him as he adjusts to this new phase of life.
