Watching the news in recent years, you can see that Haiti has known much turmoil. Fear wants to take over faith and darkness wants to overtake light. The situation is overwhelming for those of us in Haiti.

But at Haiti Awake by the grace of God, we continue to move forward, to flourish, to be the light in the city, to be a safe environment.

Our God, whose name is Jireh, continues to provide for Haiti Awake abundantly. We are so thankful.

The last three months, because school was not open yet, we were able to welcome over 80 children every day at our community center. They come for computer classes, game challenges, English class, sports, library and more. We also provide them with a good snack daily. The children are so eager to come because they are tired from staying home.

Haiti Awake is a safe environment for the children to come and learn.

We also continue to build relationships with the boys at the CERMICOL juvenile prison. We provide for some physical needs, and we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. What an honor! Thank you, Lord.
